Overview

Heat and pressure. Held to a tolerance.

Compression moulding is the engineering of a finished part through heat, pressure, and time. RDL runs compression presses across a range of tonnages and tool sizes. The tool design happens in collaboration with our toolmaker. Tool changes happen on the floor, not in an email thread.

Press size and tooling follow the application, and the finish is set through the tool.

Development
Process work on the production floor at RDL

Signed off once, then unchanged.

The customer signs off on the commissioning sample. Production then runs on the same press, with the same compound, against the same spec. There is no change in process between commissioning and production. What ships is what was approved.
